  • Outreach activities

Armourers and Brasiers’ Cambridge Forum organized by UCAM, 23.06.2021 (online):
The ESR5 and ESR6 (together with their supervisors) organized the ‘BIOREMIA booth’ at this Forum. Many ESRs participated with posters about their PhD projects. This event had a remarkable international coverage, with nearly 400 registrants from universities, research institutes and industrial companies from 25 countries.

EURAXESS Latin America and the Caribbean Meeting (LAC) organized by Marie Curie Alumni Association, 18.03.2021 (online):
Four of our fellows (ESR8 from UAB, ESR10 from Ashland, ESR12 from UGOT and ESR13 from PXS) participated in the meeting promoting the BIOREMIA project.

BIOREMIA fellows as MSCA Ambassadors: In order to promote their research in the BIOREMIA project in their country of origin each ESR has presented her/his individual project in form of a short video in their mother language acting as MSCA Ambassadors.

For an annual Irish Scientific Journalism Award (2021), the ESR 10 made a video about good and bad sides of viruses.

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India, 19.11.2021, online:
ESR 7 from UNITO gave a talk on “Research career at Italy- My Experience” at her former Masters university.

- She figures 2021 - Gender in research and innovation: statistics and indicators

Equality between women and men is one of the EU’s founding values. Since the European Commission’s ERA Communication of 2012, gender equality in research and innovation (R&I) as a priority has been strengthened progressively. The She Figures 2021 publication uses the latest available statistics to monitor the state of gender equality R&I across Europe and beyond, through providing comparable data and analysis for approximately 88 indicators. The data follow the ‘chronological journey’ of women from graduating from doctoral studies to participating in the labour market and acquiring decision-making roles, while exploring differences in women’s and men’s working conditions and research and innovation output.
